The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Due to this growth they are seeking a contract Electrical Site Engineer. The role will be varied but you will predominately work with the inhouse project engineering team to deliver the engineering to the projects. You will work across the UK on site in the SE, SW and NW of England. Key responsibilities include:

  • Review and communicate design developments with site-based team, contractors and to assist project management team in any design related issues that arise during construction

  • Record any divergence from the design via a set of Redline drawings

  • Checking of contractors works against drawings

  • Oversight of contractor s inspection and test plans. Review individual designers Inspection Test plans (ITPs), take this information from individual designers ITPs and develop overall site ITP. Document all information required for ITP.

  • Non-conformance report (NCRs) handling

  • To liaise with contractors and engineering to resolve NCRs (raise NCR, receive/advise suitable engineering resolution, and implement recovery solution) during design, planning and especially construction phases

  • Work with project engineer to resolve technical issues that arise on site in a timely manner

  • Communicate technical issues to office-based engineering team if escalation is necessary

  • Electrical and Mechanical progress tracking – Work with the construction manager to the develop 3 week lookahead

  • Provide input to construction specifications

  • Work with the site team to keep the snagging list up to date

  • CDM

  • Assist in production of the Health and Safety File.

  • Assist in production of turnover packages to hand the project to the operations team

This role will suit an Electrical Engineer with 5-10 years experience within renewables or energy generation environment (gas peaking plants, energy storage, wind, solar) supporting construction projects.
