- Role
Manage and coordinate all electrical construction works and to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities as an Electrical Supervisor for the development and construction of pipeline of energy projects:
- Health and Safety.
Responsible for implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations related to electrical work.
This includes conducting risk assessments, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and promoting safe work practices to minimise the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Overseeing the Electrical Installation.
To be the point of contact for electrical subcontractor site management and support the resolution of any matters arising on site.
This includes coordinating with contractors, ensuring compliance with electrical regulations and standards, reviewing project plans, and providing technical guidance to the contractor's installation team.
- Ensuring Compliance. Ensure that all electrical installations comply with relevant regulations, design, specifications, and drawings.
- Quality Control and Inspection.
Carry out regular inspections and quality control checks in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan, identify any deficiencies or non-compliance, and provide guidance or corrective measures to rectify the issues.
- Documentation and Reporting.
Ensure contractors keep accurate records in line with the Inspection and Test Plan/site procedures and store them in the appropriate online shared folder.
Support the Construction Manager to ensure compliance with Health and Safety Manual and the following duties:
- Ensure that, where required, a Construction Phase Plan is prepared and complied with.
- Conduct and record weekly site health and safety inspections.
- Arrange for the display of appropriate health and safety notices and signs in prominent places and ensure that all staff and sub-contractors, as appropriate, are made aware of them at an induction briefing.
- Ensure that adequate supplies of suitable personal protective equipment are provided, maintained and properly stored.
- Ensure that suitable arrangements have been made to provide an adequate response to all foreseeable emergencies on the site.
- Report all injuries and dangerous occurrences in accordance with the Statera Energy Limited Health and Safety Manual.
- Comply with the requirements of Group health and safety policy and procedures.
- As far as is reasonably practicable, stop any person under their control from working unsafely and ensure all work complies with the health and safety plan and relevant legislation.
- Ensure that only authorised personnel are put to work, keeping records of operative's qualifications, expiry dates and exclusions.
- Ensure personnel are properly trained in the use of personal protective equipment which is adequate for the task being undertaken.
- Maintain a tidy and safe site with good housekeeping and management of staff and contractors.
- Ensure projects are being managed in accordance with the general and health and safety requirements of the Project Execution Plan and the plans set out above.
- Contribute to project schedule development and close monitoring and control of the construction schedule.
Ensure the construction team provide short term lookahead programmes and hold daily and weekly coordination meetings with all contractors.
- Monitor the submission and approval of electrical design and specification information to be provided by the electrical contractors or sub-contractors or suppliers.
