This opportunity is ideal for engineers currently working in HV consultancies, power systems engineering firms, cable testing organisations, or transmission/distribution contractors who want to develop their commercial skills while staying close to the technical side of the industry.
You will manage and grow a portfolio of well-established clients across the UK and Ireland — including consultancies, ICPs, DNO/TNO contractors, cable manufacturers, testing specialists, EPCs and HV service providers. This is not a cold-calling sales role; success is built on technical credibility, relationship management, and strategic account growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop relationships with key accounts in the UK & Ireland across HV engineering, consultancy, testing, and construction sectors.
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings across HV testing, diagnostics, commissioning, and cable system services.
- Act as the technical-commercial interface for clients, providing guidance, solution development and high-quality support.

- Work closely with in-house engineering teams to prepare proposals, scopes of work and technical service packages.
- Electrical Engineering degree (or similar) with strong knowledge of high voltage systems.
- Experience within HV engineering consultancy, cable testing, power system studies, cable installation/commissioning, T&D engineering, or related specialist fields.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements, understand client challenges, and translate them into viable engineering service solutions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Self-driven, organised, and comfortable working remotely with regular travel across the UK and occasional European events.
Why! Join a respected and expanding provider of specialist HV engineering and testing services. Work with warm, established accounts — no cold sales. Stay close to the technical aspects of HV engineering while building your commercial career. Competitive salary, strong bonus potential, and a clear long-term development path.
