Our client, a leading force in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will act as a key commercial and contractual point of contact across both pre- and post-contract phases of multiple projects. You will work closely with senior team members, project managers, and commercial specialists to deliver projects to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and financial control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior team members in managing and delivering projects across various stages.
- Provide accurate, timely commercial and cost advice, reporting, and documentation.
- Prepare and manage cost estimates, bills of quantities, tenders, and contracts.
- Contribute to procurement processes, tender reviews, valuations, and final accounts.
- Assist in the preparation and management of change control, variations, and dispute resolution.
- Undertake site inspections, attend project meetings, and maintain accurate records.
- Support project planning, controls, risk management, and reporting processes.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, and Quantity Surveyors to optimise project outcomes.
- Maintain standardised project documentation in line with internal quality assurance processes.
- Contribute to cost forecasting, resource usage models, and progress monitoring.
- Assist in producing project progress reports, earned value assessments, and gate review documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- Experience of NEC3 / NEC 4 Contract Type.
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Effective communication, reporting, and collaboration skills.
- A proactive and organised approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and work towards professional chartership (MRICS).
- Experience or interest in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors is beneficial.
