Warner Hotels are looking for a Food and Beverage Technical Coordinator to join our Food & Beverage Technical team. Based in our Hemel Hub, you’ll be providing administrative, technical and coordination support to the Food Technical and Procurement teams, ensuring food safety documentation, supplier records, product specifications, and procurement processes are organised, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory requirements. We use Starchef (among other systems) so if you've used that please do get in touch.

Responsibilities:

  • Food Technical Administration
    • Maintain and organise food safety documentation and records.
    • Review and update the management of product specifications, allergen information, and nutritional data.
    • Assist in maintaining HACCP documentation and compliance records.
    • Ensure supplier documentation (e.g., certificates, audits, insurance) is up to date and properly filed.
    • Support product approval processes by collecting and organising required technical information.
    • Track expiry dates of technical documents and follow up with suppliers for updates.
    • Using Starchef to review and approve recipes and menus.
  • Supplier & Product Data Management
    • Maintain supplier databases and ensure records are complete and accurate.
    • Manage product specification files and technical folders.
    • Upload and maintain data in internal systems such as specification databases, supplier portals, menu or recipe management systems.
    • Ensure allergen and ingredient information is properly recorded.
  • Procurement Administrative Support
    • Assist the procurement team with supplier communication and documentation requests.
    • Support the creation and maintenance of product lists and approved supplier lists.
    • Help track product updates, price changes, or specification changes.
    • Assist in coordinating supplier on-boarding documentation.
  • Cross-Team Coordination
    • Work closely with Development Chefs, Procurement team, Food Safety Specialists and Technical Partner.
    • Help ensure technical information is available for menus, recipes, and product approvals.
    • Support communication between suppliers and internal teams regarding product information.

We're looking for the following behaviours, skills & experience:

  • Ideally degree educated (or equivalent by experience) within Food Science or Technology.
  • Significant understanding of food safety principles, HACCP, and allergen management.
  • Awareness of product specifications, ingredient information, and supplier technical documentation.
  • Understanding of supplier compliance requirements (e.g., certifications, insurance, technical records).
  • Basic knowledge of procurement processes, including supplier communication, product lists, and purchase administration.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative processes, document control, and data management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and document management systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with great written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in managing documents and databases.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines.
  • Experience in using procurement or supplier databases, recipe or menu management platforms.
  • Previous experience in administration within food, hospitality, retail, or supply chain.
