Wehave an exciting opportunity for anAssistant Speech and Language Therapistto join ourAdultAutismDiagnostic team as a band 4 in Berkshire Healthcare NHS trust.The successful candidate will be based atErleighRdin Reading and will be working with adult clients.This is an opportunity to develop specialist clinicalknowledgeand skills for working withneurodiversity,specificallyautism.

We welcome applications frompeople who have excellent communication skillsand understandingof autism. The team is a multi-professionalandpreviousworking experience from an NHSsettingwould be an advantage.They will work closely with all members of the team andbesupportedby a senior speech and language therapist. We offer a supportive work environment and are committed topersonal andprofessionalsdevelopment through regularsupervisionandaccess toon the jobtraining toenhance CPD.

The post holder willberesponsiblefor:

• Carrying out administrative duties asappropriate, which includes data collection, arranging appointments,report writingandassistingin service developmentwith support from aSpeechand Languagetherapist.

• Supporting the team with assessmentby carrying out specific tasks anddeveloping neurodiversity passports.

• Working with the team to delivertraining togroups.

This is a part time post for 15 hours per week. There may be some opportunities for home working.

The role requiresexcellentinterpersonalskills. Main duties includesupportingcliniciansto collect information about their clientsto supportassessments, administrativeduties (keepingclinical recordsandwritingreports)and developingneurodiversitypassports.The postholderwillbe requiredto have excellent IT skills.
