An excellent opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join a high-quality Occupational Therapy service. This opportunity is best suited to an ambitious and motivated induvial with the desire to progress in their career, within a very supportive environment.

Our service aims to help adults to continue to live at home, where your role will be to assess and manage a caseload of patients on an inpatient ward. The caseload will provide an opportunity to experience a variety of complex needs located across East Berkshire.

The ideal candidate will be a registered Occupational Therapist with an interest in the rehabilitation of older adults, have great organisational skills and enjoy working in a friendly team. This post offers the opportunity for a clear development pathway towards a senior clinical role subject to the successful attainment of development competencies. This role is well suited to an ambitious and motivated individual who wants to progress their career.

The post will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the east of Berkshire.

– To providesupervision guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team. To make recommendations to the wider MDT and to support with education of students.

– To identifyservice developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.

– To be responsible fora complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists.

The “must haves” for this role:
• Degree in Occupational Therapy along with HCPC registration
• A passion for working in a rehabilitation or intermediate care setting
• Car driver & possess full driver’s license to be able to drive in the UK.
• Ability to participate in a 6-day rota.
