About you

Working hours

Open Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Closed on Bank Holidays and during the Christmas and New Year period. The team works on a rota basis, typically 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day).

Your role

You will support the team in caring for and engaging a group of children, providing daily care and activities, while also assisting with developmental reviews. You will care for children aged 6 months through to their transition to reception. You will maintain high standards of care, create learning opportunities in a safe, stimulating environment, and support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Responsibilities

  • Provide care and stimulation for children that meets physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs in a non-discriminatory manner.
  • Work in partnership with parents and encourage their involvement in the nursery’s aims and their child’s care.
  • Provide and maintain records as necessary and appropriate, in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework.
  • Attend training courses to ensure modern, innovative and forward-looking practices are maintained and support personal career development.
  • Assist in the daily domestic management of the nursery; ensure the nursery is safe, secure and clean at all times.
