Location: 66 Thunder Mountain Rd, Charlemont, MA, USA

Pay: $17.00 per hour, may also be based on trip rate. Seasonal position.

A mandatory 3-day training occurs in mid-May.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet guests, assist with check-in, and verify waivers are signed.
  • Inspect zip line courses, gear, and equipment.
  • Assist guests with gear fitting and provide safety instructions.
  • Perform rescues and evacuations as needed.
  • Maintain logs and paperwork.
  • Provide basic first aid and help guests overcome anxieties.
  • Load and unload guests from chairlifts safely.
  • Cross-train for the Aerial Park Adventure Course.
  • Ensure guests have a fun and memorable experience.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • First aid & CPR certification (training provided on-site).
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Clear communication, including use of radios.
  • Ability to connect with guests, including children.
  • Remain composed under stress.
  • Effective communication with team and management.

Physical Demands:

  • Comfort working at heights.
  • Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and meet weight requirements (100-260 lbs).
  • Able to hike, stand, bend, climb, lift, reach, and pull repeatedly.
  • Mental alertness and focus required.
  • Ability to adapt to varying weather conditions.

Shift & Age Requirements:

  • Long hours, including early mornings and evenings.
  • Weekend and holiday shifts required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Other Requirements:

  • Mandatory 3-day training in mid-May 2025.
  • Background check required prior to hiring.
  • Complete and pass guide training session.
  • Pass ATV driver safety training if required.
