About Apprentice Groundsperson
Main Duties:
- Ensuring the Club\’s playing areas are maintained and presented to the highest possible standards using a range of turfcare machinery, equipment and techniques.
- All aspects of ground preparation including deployment of rain covers, mowing, marking out, erection and dismantling of practice nets and operating various machinery.
- Routine maintenance of turfcare machinery.
- Maintaining health and safety standards and complying with Club policies and procedures.
- All other duties in line with grounds preparation.
- Maintenance of tools and equipment such as mowers, aerators and other specialist turfcare equipment.
- Work safely, efficiently and effectively at all times, under supervision, as an individual or as part of the team.
Apprenticeship & Training:
- To undertake and complete all elements of the apprenticeship programme.
- To attend all off the job training as organised with the training provider.
- To attend all in house and on the job training as required.
- To participate in any additional activities identified in the workplace to compliment the apprenticeship programme.
- Training will be provided in the workplace towards a Countryside Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship.
