Summary of job
As a Clinic Support Specialist, you will perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Your duties include providing support to assigned department, assisting in daily office needs and managing the department’s general administrative activities. Excellent attention to detail is required.
You will:
- Work closely with Clinic Director to prepare for annual audits.
- Maintain and update staff schedules in both the master schedule and NextGen to include template changes for hours changes, PTO, Holidays, etc.
- Maintain group recurrences in NextGen.
- Maintain credential updates in NextGen.
- Conduct monthly NextGen maintenance.
To qualify for the position
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of office experience required.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable.
Preferred candidates
- Experience in a health or behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
Physical Requirements
- SEEING: Must be able to read and interpret documents and read and analyze data on a computer screen for prolonged periods.
- HEARING: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate to clients, vendors, and coworkers.
- MOBILITY: Must have mobility to move about the agency.
- LIFTING/PULLING/PUSHING: Must be able to carry up to 10 pounds.
- OTHER: Must be able to write, type and use technology.

Employment Conditions
- Receipt of results of a satisfactory drug and alcohol screening test.
- Receipt of the originals of the following background checks: PA State Police Criminal History, PA State Child Abuse, and DPW FBI Criminal History. These clearances must be valid within the 60 months prior to employment.
- A conviction is not a bar to employment; however, a review will be conducted to make a determination of employment should a conviction be present.
- Receipt of original documentation and verification of relevant degrees, diplomas, certificates, or licensure.
- Confirmation that you are not on the OIG Federal Healthcare Program Exclusion from Participation list. Should you appear on this list, Berks Counseling Center is prohibited from employing you.
