Salary: Pro-rata salary ÂŁ17,040 - ÂŁ17,752 (ÂŁ28,400 - ÂŁ29,586 FTE).

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 21 hours per week. Ideally Weds-Fri but flexibility in working pattern in agreement with line manager.

Based: Hybrid working available, with travel across the three counties – Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire.

The Volunteer Engagement Manager will help nature recover by delivering dynamic volunteer recruitment campaigns and initiatives to increase the diversity and inclusivity of our volunteer community, empowering them to act for nature.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and delivering transformational volunteer engagement campaigns to truly embrace diversity and foster inclusion to connect with new audiences.
  • Co-creating with new audiences’ initiatives to grow and develop our network of volunteers.
  • Effectively utilising digital technologies and social media platforms to promote volunteering opportunities to a diverse range of people.
  • Organising and attending volunteer recruitment events.
  • Developing, embedding and managing the start of our volunteer journey across BBOWT, fully utilising our volunteer management system.

What we’re looking for:

  • A team orientated person with a positive encouraging attitude.
  • Ability to create and market recruitment campaigns, utilising social media platforms and digital tools to maximise impact.
  • Ability to develop effective relationships and partnerships.
  • Good understanding of volunteer motivations and legislation relating to volunteering.
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate our BBOWT behaviours and values.
