Who We Are We are proud to be the largest family owned and family-run wine importer in the UK. We have been selling premium wine since 1964 to our ever growing customer base which includes both the on and off trade. The Role Berkmann Wine Cellars has an extremely envious portfolio and we are looking to recruit a Sales Account Manager within the region of Cornwall. The successful post holder will have strong experience of selling within the on-trade as well having good knowledge of the region you will be working within. You must have a sales background and be aware of which customers you need to target and have the skillset to then drive volume and profitability. To do the job successfully you must have a WSET L2, as a minimum, and hold a UK driving licence. You will demonstrate your passion and knowledge for our products; we are immensely proud of our portfolio, and you will tell the story about the winery and our producers, the history of the vineyards and the labels. What You will be Doing Responsibilities include but are not limited to: – Deliver necessary profit and sales volume – Add new profitable business without compromising sales in other sectors – Build business relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external – Provide forecasting accuracy – Feedback to aid logistics when necessary – Manage and use customer date to ensure stock levels and sales are optimised – Be a confident and articulate Berkmann ambassador The Position Holder – Must hold a strong sales background within the on trade – Have a WSET Level 2 as a minimum – Hold a UK driving licence – Be analytical and numerical – Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – Be a strong negotiator – Have strong teamworking skills Offer · Competitive salary with generous bonus for OTE · 25 days annual leave rising to 26 days after 5 years’ service and 27 days after 10 years’ service, plus bank holidays · Company pension · £250 annual contribution to Dental Costs · Generous staff discount on our wine · Access to our Employee Assistance Programme · Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Pay · A bottle of wine on your birthday and Berkmann anniversary · £500 referral scheme How to Apply – If you are interested in applying please submit your CV to vacancies@berkmann.co.uk.
