System Engineer – London – Generous salary and benefits package offered

Hybrid Working

An exciting and brand-new opportunity for experienced System Engineers to join an innovative and growing trading house as they expand their team in London. Using HPC solutions they are providing cutting edge services to their customers and are growing in every department to meet the customer demand for their products.

This role will see you working within the system team, building and maintaining a large and growing distributed compute cluster, automation software and operating systems amongst other requirements. You\\\’ll be working on projects that have a direct impact on the company\\\’s live trading and research platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Scale the HPC environment
  • Design and build new services
  • Hardware/software installation and scripting to automate repetitive tasks
  • Work on projects with direct impact on live trading and research platforms

Qualifications

  • Expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux systems
  • Solid experience of supporting High Performance Computing (HPC) / supercomputer solutions
  • Experience with financial trading systems (high frequency systems, algorithmic trading systems, etc.)
  • Comfortable using Linux/UNIX command line tools
  • Python or Shell scripting experience
  • Experience and knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu is a plus
