This team is driving innovation in solar-powered battery charging systems and is committed to a net-zero future. Responsibilities
- Take charge of electrical designs and equipment, guiding the development of solar PV and battery charging systems from design to testing.
- Provide technical input to the supply chain and operations teams using a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Collaborate with team members across different continents to identify and implement improvements to electrical systems and products.
- Efficiently manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to optimize performance and cost, ensuring compliance with quality control and certifications.
Skills
- Proven experience in electrical product, process, and system design.
- Ability to interpret and implement relevant technical standards (e.g., IEC/ISO/BS/MCS, etc.).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, data analysis, and critical thinking for system optimization.
- Familiarity with electrical design software such as Autocad, Solidworks Electrical, etc.
- Experience with PLM and PDM systems.
- Background in PV systems design.
- Track record in designing and procuring custom parts, including cabinets and mounting hardware.
- Experience in discovering new vendors and sourcing parts from new or existing suppliers.
