This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading provider of specialty insurance solutions. Our client is seeking a talented individual to design, develop, and maintain SQL databases that meet both application and business needs. You\’ll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining their Data Warehouse solution using the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases tailored to business requirements.
- Support the development and maintenance of the existing Data Warehouse solution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database and system-related issues, providing support to users.
- Assist with the deployment of changes to the Data Warehouse and other systems.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand and support project requirements.
- Monitor regular processes, identify root cause issues, and escalate when necessary.
- Develop and maintain reusable code following best practices for future use.
- Proficient in T-SQL, including database schema design, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
- Familiarity with Data Warehousing design techniques (Kimball/Star Schema).
- Experience with Visual Studio or similar IDEs.
- Experience with source control platforms such as Team Foundation Server, GIT, DevOps, or similar.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory and Power BI.
- Exposure to the insurance industry.
- General IT support knowledge.
