As an Infrastructure Technical Architect, you\’ll lead large-scale customer infrastructure transition and transformation projects, ensuring the clients\’ service meets project requirements. Your focus will be on Data Centre Transition, with a secondary role in delivering incremental business on an existing account. The Technical Architect will be a critical role within the Project Delivery Team, expected to author and lead all infrastructure elements. Weekend work may be required due to tight project timelines and short notice.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Dictate technical strategy for each phase of the Transition
- Review LLDs completed by engineers (Wintel, Storage, Linux, Messaging, DBA)
- High-quality documentation and communication skills.
- Flexible to the business needs of our clients.
- Raise concerns when project delivery is failing or when a fundamental problem needs addressing.
Technical Requirements:
- Wintel Server implementation and deployment (2016/2019/2022) on physical hardware and virtual infrastructure.
- AD/SCCM/SCOM/VDI/HyperV
- VMWare 6.x, 7.x
- RHEL Server implementation and deployment (RHEL 5,6,7,8)
- Messaging implementation and deployment (Exchange 2016, Skype 2019)
- Storage implementation and deployment (NetApp)
- DBA implementation and deployment (SQL all variants, Oracle all variants)
- Automation
- Implement and maintain a standard methodology for the planning and installation of infrastructure.
- Liaise with 3rd Party suppliers and other partners when and where required to meet customer requirements. Be involved with initial partnership meetings.
