My client, a growing successful IT Support company in Dundee are currently seeking an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join the team. This is a full-time permanent position with a salary of up to 36.5k, dependent on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level support and troubleshooting for a wide range of issues, including but not limited to networking, software, hardware and security-related concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside Level 1 and Level 2 support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Be the point of escalation for critical incidents, demonstrating the ability to analyse, diagnose, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and management of IT solutions, including network infrastructure, cloud services, and security protocols.
  • Perform proactive system monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation to identify and address potential issues before they impact clients' operations.
Skills & Experience:
  • 5 years+ of hands-on experience in providing IT support, preferably within an MSP environment.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Exchange Server.
  • Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is a plus.
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
