Training & Development Manager – Education Contract Catering

  • Location: North West
  • Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (3-5 days a week, business dependant)
  • Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience/working days)

My client is looking for a Training & Development Manager to lead training initiatives across our Front and Back of House and Operational teams. You'll design, implement, and sustain training programmes that align with their service standards and values, ensuring a “best in class” client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onboard and train staff on hospitality and service excellence.
  • Define and maintain service standards using client feedback.
  • Creating training materials and programmes to address specific business objectives.
  • Working with employees, the human resources teams and management to ensure the achievement of training objectives.
  • Identifying and implementing a wide range of training techniques to improve efficiency.
  • Managing new employees, schedule training sessions and organising the resources to facilitate training programmes.
  • Induction planning.
  • Ad Hoc training needs.
  • Develop and deliver training on service, management practices, and professional development.
  • Mentor teams on-site, providing ongoing coaching and development.
  • Assess training needs, create programmes, and manage training schedules.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and adjust programs as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in hospitality training with a flexible, hands-on approach.
  • Understanding of service levels across delis, restaurants, retail, and grab and go.
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for staff development.
  • Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to our values.

Working Conditions & Benefits:

Head office-based with flexible working options (3-5 days a week).

Competitive salary, circa £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience/working days).
