This is a full-time, practical role mainly based at a Hackney warehouse, with regular work across locations. You’ll handle day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and safety checks across boats, catering equipment, and hospitality spaces. You’ll work as part of a small maintenance team and will also support the Operations Team and external contractors when needed. Weekend cover is required twice a month, with occasional evening or emergency call-outs.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out regular checks on boats, venues, and facilities
- Complete routine and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and heating/filtration systems
- Maintain kitchens, bars, and guest areas
- Repair and service catering equipment (ovens, grills, fridges, dishwashers etc.)
- Respond to urgent repairs and maintenance requests
- Support with moving stock, tools, and equipment between sites
- Tow and transport boats or trailers when needed
- Keep storage and workshop areas tidy and organised
- Follow health & safety and marine safety procedures at all times
This is an active, mostly outdoor role working around boats, riverside spaces, gardens, venues, and kitchens — no two days are the same.
About You
- Experience in facilities, site, or vessel maintenance (hospitality or marine experience is a bonus)
- Good practical skills in plumbing, electrics, and basic carpentry
- Experience repairing or maintaining catering equipment
- Full UK driving licence and confident towing trailers
- Able to work independently and deal with emergencies calmly
- Well-organised and proactive
- Comfortable using email/basic IT
- Happy to work some weekends and evenings when needed
