Berkeley Scott is recruiting Catering Assistants in Stafford for temporary school catering work. The role involves supporting the daily running of school kitchens, including basic food preparation, serving meals, washing up and keeping work areas clean and tidy. Successful candidates will be dependable, enthusiastic and comfortable working as part of a team, with a willingness to learn for those without prior experience.
Pay ranges from £12.71 to £14.00 per hour depending on experience and assignment, with weekly pay and holiday pay included. Immediate starts are available, and regular shifts are offered.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helping with basic food preparation
- Serving food during breakfast or lunchtime services, where required
- Assisting the kitchen team during busy periods
- Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen and service areas
- Following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety guidelines
- Helping ensure the kitchen runs efficiently throughout the day
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- An Enhanced DBS check, which is required for school-based assignments
- Two references
- Food Safety Level 2 certification, or a willingness to obtain it
- Food Allergen Awareness certification, or a willingness to obtain it
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- The ability to work well within a team
- Previous experience as a Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant or Kitchen Porter is beneficial but not essential.
