Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to oversee spacious, contemporary apartments in the heart of London. This role is part of a small but dedicated team and is ideal for a proactive team player and problem solver.
As a Duty Manager, you will manage the Porters and Front Desk department, motivating your team to deliver exceptional and efficient service to ensure total guest satisfaction. You will act as the first point of contact in the absence of the General Manager and Operations Manager and maybe asked to live on site when the Operations manager is away.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Relations:
- Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally to uphold a high standard of service.
- Maintain knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and current events or shows to assist guests effectively.
Operational Insight:
- Manage daily operations to ensure seamless functioning of the establishment.
- Report any issues to senior management promptly.
Crisis Management:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Respond to incidents and escalate significant events to management as necessary.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to staff.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Previous managerial experience in 4- or 5-star hotels/apartments (Desired not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to inspire your team.
- Effective under pressure, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in crisis management and problem-solving.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong multitasking and task prioritization abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in management or hospitality.
- Extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
Working Conditions:
