About the Role
We’re currently recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join a busy school catering environment in Bridgwater. This is a hands-on role supporting the catering team with food preparation, service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving food to staff and pupils.
- Support with kitchen setup and cleaning duties before and after service.
- Ensure all health, safety, and food hygiene standards are maintained.
- Restock supplies and assist with deliveries as needed.
- Work efficiently as part of a small, friendly catering team.
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
- Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role (desirable).
- Strong awareness of food hygiene and safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
