The role
You will be working in Sous Chef/ Assistant Kitchen Manager capacity, supporting the kitchen team in delivering high-quality gastro pub food to a consistently high standard. Responsibilities include:
- Running kitchen sections confidently and independently
- Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Supervising junior chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintaining excellent food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Supporting stock control, ordering, prep, and service management
- Ensuring full compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Senior CDP or Sous Chef in the UK
- Previous gastro pub or fresh-food restaurant experience essential
- Strong leadership and section management skills
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced service environment
- Reliable, professional, and committed to ongoing work
