We are currently seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and hard-working Catering Assistants to support our client’s schools in and around the Bath area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and is passionate about providing nutritious meals to children. As this role is based within a school, an Enhanced DBS is required. If you do not currently have one, we can assist you in applying for one for £61.50, or provide the necessary information for you to apply independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and staff
  • Ensure kitchen and food service areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
  • Support with washing up, clearing tables, and general kitchen duties
  • Follow food hygiene and health & safety standards in line with school policies
  • Set up the dining area and help manage queues during service times
  • Provide friendly and professional service to students and staff

Essential Requirements

  • A current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or food service environment is desirable
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to adapt to the needs of the school
  • A positive attitude and willingness to take on varied duties as required
