Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll support the safe, high-quality and efficient delivery of our developments. You’ll gain hands-on exposure across all areas of the build process, developing your skills and confidence as you progress towards a Site Management role. What you'll be doing:
- Champion a proactive safety culture where everyone goes home safely
- Ensure full compliance with Berkeley standards, policies and site procedures
- Support site inductions, toolbox talks and safety communications
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation
- Participate in site inspections and audits, taking action where needed
- Work closely with the Temporary Works Coordinator to ensure compliance
- Support the day-to-day coordination of site activities
- Monitor subcontractor performance against the build programme
- Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and quality standards
- Identify and escalate risks, delays or issues early
- Help plan and organise site operations to meet key milestones
- Maintain clear communication across site teams and stakeholders
- Take pride in delivering homes to the highest standard
- Carry out inspections at key stages and ensure defects are resolved promptly
- Support quality assurance processes, including ITPs and commissioning
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying ways to enhance build quality
- Keep the customer at the heart of every decision
- Develop an understanding of contracts and site instructions
- Work collaboratively with the commercial team through all phases of delivery
- Support the accurate recording of progress and quality documentation
- Assist in tracking progress against the programme and key milestones
- Maintain a daily site diary and accurate records
- Help monitor delays and contribute to reporting processes
- Gain exposure to the wider project delivery strategy
What you'll bring:
- Engineering or Construction Degree (BSc or Masters)
- Management or PQP CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid
- Working towards professional membership (ICE or MCIOB)
- A strong commitment to health, safety and quality
