  • What you'll be doing
  • Sales Strategy & Delivery
  • Promote and sell Berkeley developments to overseas clients predominantly through agent networks
  • Implement overseas sales strategies region to region in line with the company's wider international objectives.
  • Actively manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to exchange.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team-based sales targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with international agents and introducers.
  • Ensure clear, timely, and professional communication with the Head of Sales, Berkeley International teams and UK based sales teams.
  • Represent the brand with integrity and consistency in all interactions with agents and clients
  • Market Development & Reporting
  • Monitor and analyse overseas market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Contribute to market strategies and the launch of new developments overseas.
  • Provide feedback from international markets to inform pricing, marketing, and product design decisions.
  • Produce regular reports on sales activity, pipeline, and agent performance.
  • Regular review of agent agreements and performance
  • International Events, Travel & Representation
  • Participate in and support overseas exhibitions, campaigns, and events as part of the international sales strategy.
  • Travel must be booked at least two weeks in advance; a travel itinerary must be prepared at least three weeks before departure to allow time for quotations and approval.
  • Follow company travel guidelines and maintain communication with the UK team for operational and safety purposes.
  • Business attire is mandatory, preferably uniform or similar colourways (e. g. navy or black suit)
  • A day rate for expenses should be agreed in advance, or spending over £100 must be approved during travel.
  • Entertaining costs must be documented with names of attendees; receipts are required and should be submitted via IFS weekly.
  • IT must be informed of travel to activate data roaming; personal phones/data will not be reimbursed. Save key documents locally as backup.

Expectations During Overseas Travel

  • Represent the Berkeley Group professionally at all times.
  • Provide daily updates to line manager responsible for the development (HOS) and Berkeley International team.
  • Submit a full event report on the same day as the event and a summary report within 5 working days of return.
  • Capture feedback on marketing material effectiveness and local market insights.
  • Remain reachable and maintain high standards of organisation throughout.
  • All clients should be entered on C360 along with accurate source of enquiry
  • Client Relationship Management & Sales Reporting
  • Track sales performance and lead conversion rates.
  • Log all client interactions accurately in the C360 database wherever reasonably possible.

BDEs are expected to maintain and update C360 themselves as a primary responsibility.

However, during overseas travel, events, or periods of operational pressure, support may be requested from on-site marketing teams to assist with inputting and updating client activity.

  • BDEs should carry out at least 50% of international agent viewings when in UK.
  • Provide same-day feedback for all viewings.
  • Be clear with agents regarding the procedure to registering leads with a development.
  • For ad-hoc/day-to-day registrations, agents will be provided with a two-week protection period from the date of registration.

During this period, no other agent may register the same client for the same development.

  • The two-week registration protection period is intended to allow agents to follow up with clients, arrange site visits or virtual appointments, and progress negotiations.
  • If a site visit or virtual appointment is arranged and undertaken by an agent, that agent will retain protection for a further two-week period following the appointment date.
  • If a client purchases at an overseas event, exhibition, or sales campaign, the sale will be attributed to the agent responsible for hosting or closing the sale at that event, regardless of any prior registration, unless otherwise agreed following management review.
  • BDEs must maintain regular follow-up with agents regarding registered leads and ensure all updates, activity and outcomes are recorded clearly within C360.
  • Any disputes, duplicate registrations, or exceptional cases should be escalated to management for review and resolution.

The standard default full-time working hours in the office are 8am-5pm with core working hours 9am-4pm.
