The Construction Project Planner supports the project team in developing and maintaining an achievable project plan. Coordinating with the Production Team to make sure all parts of the plan align, highlighting any risk and opportunities ahead of time to enable the project to achieve its goal. The Planner will also monitor and report on the current project status and future forecast.
This is an exciting role, which provides an opportunity for someone who is highly collaborative, self‑motivated and with a desire to learn and progress their career whilst making a significant contribution to a crucial part of the business.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and regularly review the project programme.
- Walk the site, providing an independent monitor of progress and evidence‑based drop‑lines.
- Produce weekly and monthly progress reports, providing project leads and senior management with status against master and project‑level programmes, including the use of Critical Path Analysis to support flagging concerns.
- Collate information from key project programmes for the Commercial, Build and Technical teams.
- Lead collaborative meetings to progress and report on events through pre‑construction activities.
- Collaborate with Project teams on resolutions to programme / logistical challenges, assisting production teams with creating ‘what‑ifs’ and short‑term programmes to visualise and establish options.
- Engage with the supply chain, assisting the Project team with subcontractor programme analysis and monitoring, both through tender phase and while in contract.
Experience required
- Construction build knowledge and experience.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
- Demonstrable understanding of sequence and logic.
- Microsoft 365 (good understanding of Excel – formulas, graphs).
- Asta Power Project or similar.
