This is an opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial platform that is building a distinctive presence within the active ETF market. Based in London, the successful candidate will play a leading role in managing and developing investment strategies designed to provide investors with targeted exposure to opportunities across the commodity and energy equities ecosystem.
The Portfolio Manager will have responsibility for two active equity ETF strategies:
- A natural resources income strategy focused on companies with attractive cash generation and dividend characteristics.
- A commodity infrastructure strategy investing in businesses that support the global supply chain.
The strategies invest exclusively in listed equities, providing exposure to businesses operating throughout the commodity value chain rather than direct commodity holdings. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for investment decision-making, portfolio construction and helping to further establish the firm's reputation within the active ETF landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality fundamental research across global commodity, energy and natural resource equities.
- Generate differentiated investment ideas supported by detailed analysis and conviction.
- Lead portfolio construction, stock selection and risk management processes.
- Develop financial models and investment theses.
- Monitor portfolio holdings and identify opportunities arising from market developments and sector trends.
- Represent the strategies to investors.
- Contribute to asset growth initiatives through thought leadership, client engagement and market visibility.
About You
The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of investment expertise, commercial awareness and entrepreneurial drive. Requirements include:
- At least 8 years' experience in buy-side equity research or portfolio management.
- Deep knowledge of commodities, energy, natural resources or related sectors.
- Demonstrable success in stock selection and investment recommendation generation.
- Experience managing portfolio risk and constructing concentrated, high-conviction portfolios.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A collaborative, hands-on approach suited to a growing investment business.
