We are seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join our client's European credit research team, with primary coverage responsibility for High Yield corporate credit opportunities across Europe. Based in London, this role offers the opportunity to play a key role in contributing to a global platform, working alongside seasoned portfolio managers and analysts.
The successful candidate will deliver rigorous fundamental credit analysis, pitch investment ideas to portfolio managers, generate new ideas and actively monitor existing holdings.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth fundamental credit analysis of European High Yield credit issuers
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including downside and stress scenarios
- Develop clear investment theses and present recommendations to portfolio managers
- Monitor credits, news flow, earnings, and industry developments
- Engage with company management, sell-side analysts, and other market participants
- Contribute to portfolios with relative value analysis
- ~5-10 years of relevant experience in credit research, either buy-side or sell-side
- ~ Strong understanding of High Yield credit markets
- ~ Ideally experience of covering telcos and/or chemicals but there is flexibility on this
- ~ Proven financial modelling and analytical skills
- ~ Ability to form independent views and communicate them clearly and concisely
- ~ Strong academic background and professional credibility with internal stakeholders
- ~ Self-starter with sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail
- ~ Long term investment horizon with ability to think as an investor
