An established UK organisation is looking to appoint an experienced

Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in a high-profile finance transformation programme.

This is a 9-month contract created to support the development and enhancement of the organisation's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function.

Working closely with the Head of Finance and senior stakeholders across the business, you will help strengthen forecasting, budgeting, reporting and financial insight while embedding best-practice FP&A processes and controls.

The Opportunity

You'll be instrumental in helping shape a more sophisticated FP&A capability by delivering high-quality management information, improving forecasting processes and providing meaningful financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making.

Alongside the day-to-day business partnering responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to influence reporting processes, introduce improvements and help establish a scalable FP&A framework for the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly management accounts, performance reporting and financial analysis.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with budget holders across the organisation.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insight and challenge financial performance.
  • Develop meaningful management reporting with clear commentary and actionable recommendations.
  • Support the design and implementation of improved FP&A processes, reporting packs and financial controls.
  • Build robust forecasting models and improve the quality and consistency of financial planning.
  • Carry out ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision making.
  • Assist with year-end reporting and provide support during the external audit process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, reporting and finance processes to create a more efficient FP&A function.
  • Work collaboratively across Finance to ensure high standards of financial governance and reporting.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with excellent business partnering skills.

You will ideally have

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Significant experience within FP&A, management accounting or commercial finance.
  • Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and non-finance managers.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to improve processes and drive change.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of finance transformation or improving FP&A processes would be highly advantageous.
