We are working with an established and highly regarded global investment manager that is seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to join its London-based investment team.

The position will focus on Financials across Emerging Markets with primary coverage of EM banks, developing differentiated investment views and contributing directly to the firm’s fundamental research and investment process.

This is an opportunity for an intellectually curious investor who enjoys forming independent views, conducting detailed company and industry analysis with a long-term view, and working closely with portfolio managers and other investment professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop long-term original fundamental research and translate analysis into clear, actionable investment recommendations.
  • Produce written research and communicate investment conclusions effectively to internal investment teams and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct company and industry due diligence, including meetings with management teams and other external sources.
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with companies within the analyst’s coverage universe.
  • Contribute ideas and insights across the wider investment organisation, working collaboratively with colleagues from different disciplines.
  • Develop thematic and sector-based research that can generate differentiated investment ideas, including opportunities on the short side.
  • Monitor developments across relevant markets and sectors and continually reassess investment theses as new information emerges.
