Production/Machine Operatives

Insight Employment is urgently seeking Production/Machine Operatives for a client in Buckingham.

Note: Due to the location, you must have your own transport or live locally.

The Client:

Our client has been producing timber products since 1945 and is now one of the leading suppliers of specialised timber products in the UK, as well as being one of the most advanced manufacturers of pallets in the South of England.

The company supplies a wide range of standard and bespoke pallets and timber products to DIY, packaging, construction, storage, food, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing companies across the UK and Europe.

The Role:

As a Production/Machine Operative, you will work independently and/or as part of a team, running and overseeing different sections of the production line in a timber manufacturing environment. The role involves working in a noisy environment on your feet all day, with heavy lifting and using heavy tools safely.

Excellent on-site training is provided.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Operate and oversee different sections of the production line, either independently or as part of a team.
• Ensure production output meets targets and machines run smoothly.
• Maintain product quality standards.
• Manage daily operations, including setting up and completing changeovers promptly.
• Report any downtime immediately to the Team Leader/Manager.
• Follow all health & safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the timber industry or industrial production lines is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness for heavy lifting.
• Hardworking and quality-focused.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Team player with effective communication skills.

Hours/Shifts:

Monday to Friday

• 05:00 am – 14:30 pm
• 14:00 pm – 23:00 pm

Rate:

£12.21 per hour
