Job Title: Employment Taxes Manager

Location: Hybrid Working – London EC4M

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hour week (Flexitime)

Reporting to: Head of Employment Taxes

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000

About the Team

The Employment Taxes service line is growing rapidly and offers an opportunity for an Assistant Manager to advance the delivery of employment tax advisory and compliance work.

Your Opportunity

This role allows you to work closely with a broad portfolio of clients, deepen your technical expertise, and develop leadership skills within a collaborative environment.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Manage and deliver a wide range of employment tax advisory and compliance projects, ensuring high technical standards.
  • Act as a key point‑of‑contact for clients on UK employment taxes matters, including mobility and National Minimum Wage work.
  • Manage employment tax due diligence reviews in support of corporate transactions.
  • Provide guidance and oversight on Construction Industry Scheme matters.
  • Draft, review and finalise advisory reports, technical memoranda and client communications.
  • Conduct technical research and communicate legislative developments to clients and colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value and support business growth.
  • Support business development activities, including proposals, networking, technical content and marketing initiatives.
  • Coach, mentor and review the work of junior team members, supporting their professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to contribute to the continued growth and success of the Employment Taxes service line.

Qualifications

  • CTA qualified, or equivalent (desired but not essential).

Experience

  • 6–8 years of substantive UK employment taxes experience gained in practice and/or industry.
  • Strong experience delivering employment tax advisory projects and managing client relationships.
  • Experience with transaction‑related employment tax due diligence (desirable).
  • Good exposure across the employment tax compliance cycle (P11Ds, PSA, ERS, PBIK, CIS, STBV).
  • Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
