We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mortgage Administrator to join our Mortgage Service Centre based at our Head Office in Chelmsford.

Flagstone are the largest independent mortgage brokers in Essex, providing independent mortgage and protection advice. As part of the Beresfords group we work closely with a number of estate agents and other introducers, such as builders, accountants and solicitors, offering independent mortgage and protection advice. As a large introducer, we benefit from a number of exclusive mortgage rates not available to the general public.

Duties will include regular liaison with lenders to obtain updates on application status, progress mortgages through to offer stage and liaising with solicitors until completion. Other duties will include processing incoming mail, handling telephone enquiries and liaising with our Mortgage Advisors and Sales Teams. Candidates may occasionally be required to visit our branch network around the County and offer support to our Advisors in the field.

Salary & Benefits:

£24,000 to £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Hours of Work:

Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Duties:

  • Regular liaison with lenders to obtain updates on application status, progress mortgages through to offer stage, and liaising with solicitors until completion.
  • Processing incoming mail, managing the central inbox and handling telephone enquiries.
  • Work closely with our Financial Advisors and Sales teams.
  • Keeping clients updated and informed of the progress and any potential challenges.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous
  • Well organised
  • Confident, outgoing, and personable
  • Good communication skills both orally and in written format
  • The ability to manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
