Payroll & Mobility Specialist - LondonWe are looking to hire a Payroll & Mobility Specialist to be based in London. You will join a team with colleagues located in both London and Hamburg. The primary focus of this role is the coordination, review and governance of UK and international payroll (France, US, Sweden) and benefits processes in close cooperation with external providers. In addition, the role will cover Global Mobility topics, ensuring compliant and structured handling of cross-border assignments and business travel.The position requires strong UK payroll expertise, solid understanding of UK personal tax matters and practical experience in managing external providers. Knowledge of international mobility topics (tax, social security, pensions, visa, secondments) is required but will complement – not replace – the payroll focus.Advanced Excel skills and a structured, analytical working are essential.What will you do?Payroll & Benefits Review and sign-off of UK and selected international payrolls in cooperation with external providers (4-eyes principle)Ensure accurate and timely payroll data processing, including statutory calculations and reportingOversee payroll compliance with tax, legal and internal financial control requirementsSupport finance-related reconciliations and related reportingCoordinate and review benefit schemes, renewals and enrolment processesOptimization of payroll, including possible migrations from one payroll provider to anotherGlobal Mobility Act as key contact for mobility topics (secondments, business travel, tax, social security, pensions, visa)Ensure compliant payroll and tax treatment of internationally mobile employeesCoordinate mobility cases and related reporting obligationsSupport further development of policies, processes and risk controls related to cross-border employmentWho are we looking for?Extensive experience in UK payroll and benefits; experience collaborating with external payroll providersStrong working knowledge of UK personal tax (tax codes, NI, statutory calculations, benefits in kind)Solid understanding of tax, social security and pension implications in an international contextPractical experience in Global Mobility topicsComfortable handling large volumes of numerical and finance-related data and ability to manage and prioritise multiple task / deadlinesHigh degree of ownership and accountability; working in a structured and risk-aware mannerWhat we offer you: Private pension plan - 10% of base salary contribution by BerenbergGenerous 30 day holiday allowancePrivate Health InsuranceLife Insurance schemeFlexible working hoursEnhanced parental leave policiesEmployee Assistance Programme offering counselling sessions related to mental health, financial wellbeing and other topicsApply online now to join our team – we look forward to receiving your application!We are a leading European private bank, with over 430 years of experience and deep rooted history, but we are still shaping and heavily investing in our future.
