At Berenberg we believe talented people are the key to our success. We are looking to hire Summer Interns onto our 10-week Investment Bank Summer Internship Programme.

During the first week you will take part in an induction, with talks from business leaders, classroom-based training, and a general induction to Berenberg as a company.

You will then be placed within the UK Investment Banking team, where you will gain insightful business exposure and receive invaluable and comprehensive training.

You will also be allocated a senior member of the team who you can discuss any queries or concerns with and ensure that you get the mentoring and support that you need to get the most out of the placement.

Stand-out interns may be fast-tracked to interview with senior management in order to secure a place on our Investment Bank Graduate Programme, starting in October 2026.
The Team

The UK Investment Banking specialised team looks after UK listed corporates over a range of market caps and industries, advising management teams, entrepreneurs, private equity owners or other shareholders on all issues related to equity markets and investors.

We act for our retained and new clients on IPOs, capital increases, secondary sell-downs, equity-linked issues and M&A transactions.

Our Corporate Finance experts support our teams in detailed financial analysis and modelling, pitches and Beauty Contests and our dedicated ECM Seniors and Professionals play a vital role in the active execution of transactions.
What you will do?

Assisting the senior team in providing high quality corporate broking client service and dealing with external parties and internal departments

Preparation of marketing and transaction documents (e.g. capital market updates, investor feedback and steering committee meetings)

Supporting the execution of due diligence activities and reviewing transaction documents.

Providing detailed analysis and screening of companies as well as industry sectors, in preparation for origination initiatives and client pitches

Actively support the senior team in executing transactions (e.g. capital increases and secondary placements, initial public offerings and M&A)

Supporting the financial valuation of companies based on common valuation methodologies

Outstanding interpersonal skills; smart, inquisitive and driven, ability to work in a fast-paced, intensive environment

Previous internships or work experience within an investment bank or corporate finance firm with welcomed

Strong knowledge of company valuation, financial modelling and highly numerate

You will be in your penultimate year of undergraduate study, due to graduate in 2026

Students from any degree discipline are encouraged to apply; we hire across a diverse academic background, but you must be expecting or have achieved at least a 2.1 or above

Fluency in English is essential, although fluency in additional languages are beneficial
