Senior Equity Research Analyst – Business Services

For our Equity Research Team in London, we are looking to hire an Equity Research Analyst – Business Services. Berenberg has one of Europe’s largest equity research teams. Our approach is built on a deep understanding of industries, companies, and stock markets, combined with detailed financial analysis and thorough assessment of management quality. Our analysts identify mispriced shares to provide timely investment recommendations. Freedom of thought and complete independence are central to our research philosophy.

What will you do?

• Conduct research on a range of companies across the Business Services sector, including consulting, outsourcing, staffing, IT services, facilities management, and other professional services.
• Review company accounts and reports, analyse industry trends, monitor newsflow, and help write research notes on companies within the sector.
• Attend company presentations, investor conferences, events, and meetings with company management.
• Build, update, and maintain Excel-based financial models to assess company performance and valuation.
• Perform various research-related tasks, including updating databases, reviewing, and archiving research material.

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience as an Equity Research Analyst.
• Exposure to the Business Services sector—through industry roles, consulting, or accounting—is advantageous.
• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience required.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of company valuations, financial modelling, and accounting principles.
• Advanced IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
