For our Middle Office division in London we are looking to hire a Middle Office Operations Officer.

Your role in the team:

As part of a team of six spread across our offices in Hamburg and London, we support a total of 40 equity traders and equity sales traders in the smooth processing of securities transactions. The role is varied and fast-paced, requiring strong organisation, sound judgement and effective prioritisation. You’ll be a great fit if you’re service-oriented, collaborative and able to stay calm and focused when managing competing priorities and challenging situations.

What will you do?

  • Assuring that all equity trades are confirmed within a timely manner
  • Electronic pre-matching in CTM and Traiana
  • Escalating and liaising with the internal Settlements Team (Hamburg and London)/Traders/Investment Managers or client’s custodian to ensure accurate matching and settlement of all trades
  • Close monitoring of trades and if deemed necessary, raise difference with sales/traders
  • Dealing with any ad-hoc trading/execution confirmation issues
  • Crest checking for our RSP desk
  • Support for our low touch desk
  • Managing and reconciliation of client’s RPA/CSA accounts including payments

Who are we looking for?

  • Strong experience and understanding of working within a high volume equities/trade execution environment
  • Profound knowledge of the full settlement process for equities/securities
  • High systems aptitude and experience in local systems e.g. CTM/Bloomberg/Traiana/Fidessa
  • Ability to adapt to the Sales/Trading teams needs to offer high quality support
  • Strong organisational skills and flexibility, with the ability to cope with rapidly changing priorities throughout the day
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and meet strict deadlines
  • Readiness to cover our late shift for our US clients (rota system)
