Description & Requirements For our Events division in London we are looking to hire a:
Conference Manager
Execute a flagship or multi-day conference incl. programme curation, corporate invitations, building agenda where appropriate, venue and supplier management, F&B, entertainment, internal attendee management, investor registrations, communication and marketing material, leading the wider onsite team.
What will you do?
- Responsible for planning and fully executing allocated UK/EU events and sector conferences (in-person and limited virtual formats)
- Develop corporate attendees list for conferences and work with internal stakeholders to build the conference
- Planning and scheduling 1on1 meetings aspect for conferences
- Manage key projects, including (but not limited to) – elements of US conferences, employee events, sporting events, arranging tickets/dinners across the bank
- Vendor management and negotiation including contract management for various suppliers
- Maintain internal event and related bank systems for the team (Dealogic, ipreo, calendars, contacts etc)
- Represent Berenberg at various conferences and events
- Ad hoc tasks and activities that support the continual development of the Events Management team
Who are we looking for?
- Will preferably be educated to degree level (although not essential)
- Will have had 7+ years previous events experience with some of that within investment banking
- Will have good attention to detail
- Should be enthusiastic
- Initiates and generates activity – is able to implement new ideas
- Will have excellent time management and strong organizational skills – be self motivated and comfortable in a fast moving and ever changing environment
- Focuses on client needs
- Sets high standards for quality
- Will be able to work productively in a high-pressured environment
- Will be trustworthy and familiar with dealing with highly confidential information
- Will have excellent MS office skills – to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Language skills (German or French) will be an advantage
- Willing to work outside of core hours during conference season
