For our Equity Sales Trading Europe division in London, we are looking to hire an experienced analyst/salesperson to join the team. The successful applicant will be instrumental in generating event-driven content for the team’s hedge fund clients, liaising with internal sales and execution desks, and ensuring the team’s views are disseminated across the market. We are looking for applicants with a strong understanding of event-driven investing strategies and excellent ability to communicate in both written and verbal formats.
What will you do?
- Research European deal situations across varied sectors and market caps
- Communicate the team’s insights internally to sales and execution teams and externally to event-driven hedge fund clients
- Liaise with Berenberg’s nearly 100 strong fundamental research department to provide clients with single stock and sector expertise
- Help organise corporate access opportunities so that clients can meet companies with an event-driven angle to their investment case
- Undertake daily tasks such as maintaining the team’s deal spreadsheets and contribute to the daily morning email
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience (either sell- or buy-side) analysing event-driven situations is required
- The ability to analyse complex deal structures quickly and communicate succinctly
- Advanced IT skills, including all standard Office applications
