Business Analyst* Digital Assets (German-speaking)

In an era where digitalisation and modern IT infrastructure are revolutionizing banking, we are shaping a technology-driven bank. As an IT professional, you will work closely with our business units. Our technology teams offer an environment with exciting challenges β supporting and developing legacy systems or introducing modern technologies such as AI, machine learning, and highly automated trading applications.
Our Technology department, comprising around 300 employees, works largely in an agile manner using a Scrumban approach. It covers areas such as Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Operations, Process and Governance, Software Development, and Architecture. We develop almost all our applications in-house, providing us with unique flexibility and innovative strength. Our tech stack includes modern technologies such as Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Python, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud solutions like Azure Cloud, Azure SQL Database, and Oracle Database with PL/SQL.
What will you do?
- Drive the development and implementation of Berenberg\’s digital assets strategy.
- Work closely with internal development teams and stakeholders from various banking departments.
- Translate complex technical requirements into user stories and support the implementation process.
- Manage and coordinate our external provider for the digital assets platform.
- Monitor market trends in cryptocurrencies and digital assets to identify new business opportunities and relevant regulatory requirements.
Who are we looking for?
- University degree, ideally in business information systems, business administration, economics, or computer science.
- Strong knowledge of digital assets / cryptocurrencies.
- Experience in creating user stories and working with IT teams (e.g., agile/scrum).
- Experience managing external service providers and integrating external products or interfaces.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to present complex topics clearly and understandably.
- Self-starter with a structured and proactive approach to work.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
