About the role
For our Innovation & Technology division in London we are looking to hire an IT Support Engineer at Berenberg.
You will work closely with business units, supporting legacy systems and modern technologies such as AI, machine learning and highly automated trading applications.
Responsibilities
- Act as an internal Technical Support Technician for all IT workplace‑related support.
- Work across a broad range of technologies and liaise across multiple areas of the business to support incidents, problems and requests.
- Answer IT requests via tickets in Service Now, phone, email, live chat or instant message, explaining solutions in technical and non‑technical terms.
- Support the business (onsite, phone and remote) with comprehensive issue resolutions.
- Provide IT support at off‑site conferences.
- Perform administrative tasks in IT systems.
- Participate in IT projects such as mobile‑device migration projects.
Qualifications
- Committed and client‑oriented, proactive in providing excellent customer service.
- Proven experience/support with Windows Server, Win10/7, Group Policy, Active Directory, Citrix Xen App, UMS Admin, mobile devices (Apple), MAC support, Intune Admin, telephony, Azure, printers, thin clients (HP & IGEL), desk setup, Bloomberg, Fidessa, Microsoft Office, Uniflow Print Server, IPC & Cisco Telephony.
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN, WIFI networks and technologies as well as leased lines.
- Effective time management, ability to multi‑task, organize and prioritize daily business and IT projects.
- Flexibility for occasional weekend work, out‑of‑hours support and willingness to travel to Berenberg conferences.
