We are a UK-licensed Electronic Money Institution (EMI), building modern financial infrastructure across accounts, payments, cards, FX, and analytics.

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to support and scale our finance operations during an exciting stage of growth. This role is ideal for someone with experience in fintech, payments, EMI, or regulated financial services who enjoys combining operational finance, financial control, reporting, and process improvement in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting regulatory compliance, improving internal processes, and helping build a scalable finance function across multiple entities. This is a highly hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and the ability to work independently within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and cashflow reports
    • Support month-end and year-end close processes
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reporting
    • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    • Support statutory audits and liaise with external auditors and accountants
  • Regulatory & Compliance
    • Support compliance with UK GAAP / IFRS, HMRC, VAT, and corporation tax requirements
    • Assist with FCA reporting and safeguarding reconciliations
    • Monitor financial controls and ensure regulatory and internal compliance standards are maintained
    • Support treasury and liquidity management activities
  • Systems & Process Improvement
    • Help improve and automate finance processes and workflows
    • Maintain and optimise accounting systems such as Xero or similar platforms
    • Support integrations between payment platforms and accounting/reporting systems
    • Ensure accurate payroll and finance-related submissions
  • Business Partnering
    • Work closely with compliance, operations, and commercial teams
    • Provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making
    • Contribute to building scalable finance processes as the business grows

Requirements

Must Have

  • Experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar finance role
  • Experience within fintech, payments, EMI, banking, or regulated financial services
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial controls, and management reporting
  • Experience working with multi-entity structures and fast-growing businesses
  • Hands-on experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory frameworks, safeguarding, or EMI environments
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or part-qualified)
  • Experience with treasury, liquidity, or cashflow forecasting
  • Experience improving finance systems and automation
  • Exposure to international group structures, including UK and/or Estonia
