The Director of Market Access UK and Ireland is a pivotal role contributing to the overall success of our product launches. The Director will be responsible for the Market Access of the BeOne pipeline in the UK and Ireland. This individual will be a key member of the UK & Ireland Cluster Leadership Team and a member of relevant Global & EU Market Access teams and asset teams. The position will partner with commercial and medical affairs teams to deliver Market Access insights; develop evidence-based HTA, pricing & reimbursement dossiers and tools; engage with Market Access and Public Affairs stakeholders; elaborate pricing strategy activities; and lead negotiation activities to deliver access results in the UK and Ireland.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Represent BeOne at local trade associations for market access subjects
- Work cross-functionally with country leadership and EU market access leadership to communicate BeOne UK&Ireland perspectives on access, value, and reimbursement to align commercial strategy
- Monitor market access and health policy environment, identify new and emerging trends, and disseminate strategic, operational and financial implications
- Drive access and value-related projects such as landscape assessments, payer market research, payer advisory boards and general guidance on local strategies
- Develop a holistic local market access strategy, building on local environment and customer insights, integrating key levers such as pricing, clinical and economic evidence, policy shaping, and multi-stakeholder engagement
- Customize Global Value Dossier, EU Market Access Strategy, value messages and toolkits to local needs
- Accountable for local Pricing & Reimbursement dossier submission, negotiation and maintenance; develop innovative pricing models to facilitate reimbursement approval
- Ensure HEOR programmes support local strategies to facilitate pricing, reimbursement and uptake
- Accountable for liaison with authorities on early access planning of new products and indications
- Create and maintain a network of key external stakeholders
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry and at least 5 years in market access positions
- Extensive experience in pricing and reimbursement in the United Kingdom and Ireland
- Oncology market access experience is essential
- Demonstrated success supporting oncology product pre-launch, launch and post-launch in the United Kingdom and Ireland
- In-depth knowledge of the British and Irish payer systems and reimbursement challenges and opportunities
- Direct experience in Oncology HTA dossier submissions and negotiations in the United Kingdom and Ireland
- Negotiation experience with public administrations and health authorities for oncology medicines pricing and reimbursement conditions
- Experience in economic model adaptation for national/regional and local submissions
- Ability to translate strategic insights into practical HE and outcomes research initiatives to support brand value
- Experience operating in matrix environments and collaborating with external HTA/HEcon partner companies
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and innovative thinking
- Aggressive, strategic thinking with the ability to develop global reimbursement/pricing strategies
- Skilled at influencing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including scientific and commercial teams
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and present a clear overview of market access strategy, opportunities and risks
- Fluent in English
- Masters or PhD in Life Science, Health Economics or Business is desirable but not essential
Travel: Approximately 25% of time
