The predicted salary is between 33750 - 41250 £ per year.

Based in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire – On site

26 days holidays (plus bank holidays), Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Salary up to £45k depending on experience

The Benx Group of companies - a leading supplier of specialist building materials, supplying innovative products, systems, and services to the building facades sector - is seeking to appoint a Financial Analyst/Management Accountant to join our finance department based in Stoke on Trent. This is a dual-purpose role combining traditional management / financial accounting and financial analysis, data manipulation and reporting across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of management accounts, commentary, KPIs and variance analysis for board review
  • Fabrication and branch reporting
  • Margin reporting and analysis
  • Assist with the annual budget and reforecasting
  • Assist with the year end audit
  • Produce and analyse financial, sales, purchasing, stock and operational data
  • Identify trends, patterns, risks and opportunities within large datasets
  • Build and maintain Excel / Power BI reports, charts and sales, margin and operational dashboards
  • Provide analytical support to operational teams when investigating stocktake, purchasing or cost variances
  • Liaise with operational teams, suppliers, and customers to verify information and resolve queries
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes and efficiency
  • Continuous improvement of current processes
  • Ad Hoc reports
  • Ad Hoc requests for data analysis and interpretation

Desired qualifications:

  • Bookkeeping and accounting skills
  • Sage 200 experience would be an advantage
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet service needs
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables, V-Lookup)
  • Power BI skills (dashboard design and reporting)
  • SQL experience would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills (telephone and interpersonal)
  • Self-motivated and able to manage own time
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively
  • Logical mind
  • Professional attitude
