We are looking for an experienced Events Manager to join the prestigious Science & Industry Museum team. This role focuses on operational excellence, supporting the Senior Events Manager by delivering high-quality conferences and evening events, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale dinners. With numbers ranging from 60 to 270 guests, you will oversee a variety of catering formats, including breakfast meetings, buffet lunches, canapés, bowl food receptions, and formal sit-down dinners.
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
This is a 7 days operation so the candidate has to be able to work weekends when the business requires.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Operations: Take the lead in the on-site execution of events, ensuring seamless service and a memorable guest experience.
- Catering Logistics: Manage event files, including detailed briefing sheets and service plans, to guarantee efficient and high-standard delivery.
- Client Interaction: Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and feedback, fostering strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for enhancing both sales and service standards.
- Team Motivation: Support and inspire the events team through regular feedback, training, and mentoring, creating an engaged and skilled workforce.
- Financial Management: Assist with forecasting, cost control, and budget planning to ensure the financial success of each event.
