How to prepare for a job interview at Bents Garden & Home

Know Your Numbers

Brush up on your understanding of accruals, prepayments, and budgeting. Be ready to discuss how you've applied these concepts in previous roles. This will show that you’re not just familiar with the terms but can also use them effectively.

Excel Skills on Display

Since intermediate to advanced Excel skills are a must, prepare to demonstrate your proficiency. Bring examples of spreadsheets or reports you've created, and be ready to talk about functions you frequently use, like VLOOKUP or pivot tables.

Communicate Clearly

Practice explaining financial data in simple terms. You might need to communicate findings to non-finance stakeholders, so being able to break down complex information is key. Think of examples where you’ve successfully done this before.
