Base pay range

We are recruiting for a Bakery Commis Chef to join our Chef Brigade at Bents!

• Offering up to £12.30 an hour.
• Easter Sunday, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year off?
• Permanent full time contract, offering annualised hours as an average of 40 hours per week.
• Working alternate weekends*, no split shifts!

What’s the Bakery Commis Chef role?

As our Bakery Commis Chef within our Chef Brigade you\’ll have a vital role in the production of our freshly made home bakes to serve across our 1000-seater Dining areas. Working with fresh ingredients everyday making fantastic products ranging from our best selling Scones to our delicious hot fudge chocolate gateaux!

The role will also work with our patisserie team, so the candidate will be multi-skilled to work across both functions. This role would be ideal for a hardworking, disciplined team player with a lot of stamina who possesses a passion for fresh food and eager to be part of a developing team.

• Previous experience in a similar food environment as a Baker or a Bakery Chef is essential.
• Experience of working in a high-volume restaurant is desirable.
• Shows the ability to work at pace and under pressure.

Other benefits of the Bakery Commis Chef role:

The role offers full time hours of 40 average weekly hours annualised over a 12 month period, stepping up your hours at peak (October to December) and working less in non-peak (January – March) you\’ll have one set day off each week and work alternate weekends*.

• Please note, during the induction and training period of 6 months, the successful candidate will need to work every weekend having 2 weekday shifts off.
