This is an exciting opportunity for a talented colleague to join our team as a Teacher of Humanities. You would play a vital role in supporting our vibrant school community and helping to shape a strong, positive, and successful learning experience for all students. We welcome applications from teachers who can deliver one or more Humanities subjects, with particular interest in candidates who are able to teach RSP.

You fulfil the responsibilities of a teacher as set out in the STPCD and the Teachers’ Standards, acting with professionalism, integrity and high expectations at all times. Under the direction of the Leader of Humanities, the successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher who can demonstrate the ability to:

  • Plan and deliver expertly sequenced lessons so pupils know more and remember more over time.
  • Assess learning formatively and summatively, give actionable feedback, and use assessment to adapt teaching.
  • Create a calm, purposeful climate for learning with consistent routines and high expectations.
  • Remove barriers to learning through adaptive teaching and effective deployment of support.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers and contribute to wider school life and continuous improvement.
